Food has always been a huge part of my life and how I expressed myself ever since my mother taught me how to use a stove when I was 7. It was not until I became a young adult that I realized just how much cooking (and a little bit of baking) meant to me. Every meal I've ever made was a reflection of where I was in my life, how I was feeling, and what it meant to truly know who I am. There are passions that really show you the parts of yourself you can't live without and for me, it's the sanctity of my kitchen. I have a hospitality background spanning over 10 years that put me in every part of a restaurant. My mother, aunts, and grandmothers were my first culinary instructors who taught me how to cook with the heart. I hope whoever engages in a culinary journey of their own does the same.
